RPN to BScN Bridging Program

Our organization is proud to be a partner agency with Nipissing University for the RPN to BScN bridging program. Nipissing University offers the exciting option of earning your BScN on a part-time basis through online classes. As a partner agency, RPN staff are now able use our organization as their partner site when applying to the program so that you can continue to work here as a RPN while completing your BScN, with clinical placements close to home. This exciting partnership will help support interested RPNs in progressing in their careers right here in our community and we are very excited to be able to help support those that are already enrolled or thinking about exploring this opportunity! Bridging Educational Grant In Nursing (BEGIN) Program

Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN)

The Deep River and District Hospital is approved to participate in the Community Commitment Program for Nurses (CCPN). This program provides up to a $25,000 incentive to eligible nurses in exchange for a 24-month, full-time commitment to an eligible employer. This program is directed to nurses that have not worked as a nurse within the six (6) months prior to being hired. Retired nurses, new graduates, or nurses looking to return to the nursing field are eligible for this program permitted that they maintain Registration in good standing from the CNO. Candidates must commence employment no later than March 31, 2024 to be eligible for this incentive.
